2008 Platinum Level GIAC Security Expert Exams

GIAC and the SANS Institute are pleased to offer you an opportunity to earn the GIAC Security Expert (GSE) certification this year at the Cyber Defense Initiative 2008 Conference in Washington DC. These credentials represent the highest level of Information Security certification available in our industry.
To qualify to attempt the GIAC Security Expert certification exam, you must hold multiple specific GIAC certifications with GIAC Gold in at least two. In addition, you must demonstrate a minimum level of performance and undergo a personal interview to qualify.

The GSE 2008 exam will be delivered in two parts. Part 1 is a multiple choice section that is administered through a proctored test facility just like our current silver exams. The multiple choice section is administered in advance of the CDI East 2008 hands-on sessions. The main difference between this year's GSE offering and last year is that we will be administering the multiple choice section remotely and in advance of CDI East 2008 to keep costs down for everyone.
Part 2 is the GSE hands-on lab, which will be held December 11th and 12th during our Cyber Defense Initiative 2008 Conference in Washington DC. The dates for the entire CDI East 2008 conference are December 10 - 16.
Registering for the GSE will be a two part process. The multiple choice section of the GSE exam costs $399, and will be available for registration shortly. After passing the multiple choice section, you will earn the ability to register to the hands-on portion, which costs $1,099.
